Women candidates affiliated with different political parties have said that a new Nepal is impossible unless there is a victory of women candidates in the CA polls.
Speaking at a gathering of the women candidates from the three districts of the valley, they said there is need for women to make the new constitution, so the voters should ensure that women candidates succeed. Women will be able to end the traditional tendency of the society if the women candidates win, they added.
They also urged the voters to cast their vote for women candidates to end the discrimination on women.
Women candidates from the major political parties, Bidhya Bhandari, Suprabha Ghimire and Hisila Yami were present in the programme.
62 candidates from Kathmandu, 27 from Lalitpur and 4 women candidates from Bhaktapur districts are competing for the upcoming election in the both direct and proportional system.
